Well I must confess I had to eat my words on this first rally of 2025  The location boasts occasional flooding capable of hitting nationwide news, it's near one of our most famous ranges of hills which come with the chance of more rain being dropped on you...or fog, and, early April? come on Debbie McDine what were you thinking?  Fortunately for everybody who attended (and this was a well attended rally) none of that happened, it was hot, gloriously sunny and a beautiful place to be in those conditions

The Drum & Monkey pub with it's little site behind was recommended by Ian Quarry who had attended something here in the past.   Whilst on this subject, special mention must be made as Ian's somewhat errant 1966 Bedford CA, some 1 year and 1 month after purchase finally relented and took Ian to a rally  A lovely and now very unusual little Dormobile

Unusually the rally field wasn't ours, we had the outside of the field and the centre was filled by the kind of chaps who ride comfy looking motorcycles long distances, yet their love of comfort seemed to stop once they arrived, all had all manner of equipment and tiny little tents packed with military precision onto their motorcycles  A Nice bunch of guys and a long way from the naff stereotypes still purveyed by the press!

After a very easy wander up M5 at near 40MPG with the Robin in tow, Mike and I once set up went for a walk down into the town - which isn't close to the site, it was quite a walk, particularly the very up hill walk back!  A  Beautiful little town with many attractive old shop fronts

Saturday attendees set off to do whatever they pleased, we headed for the Malvern Hills for some walking, were appalled by the £6 minimum parking fee, and amazed to find a proper Malvern water spring alongside a minor road where you could help yourself, we collected some water but weren't brave enough to try it

Saturday evening a skittles night was laid on by Debbie which we all thoroughly enjoyed - it was a fantastic laugh with lots of ribbing.

Sunday morning we set off to visit a very full classic car show at the Malvern Show, a great variety of cars there and a bit of autojumble  Ian's CA Dormobile caught the eye of Youtube influencer Mr Wig and can be seen briefly in his video of the show

All in all a great rally, great company, fantastic weather and a thoroughly memorable weekend (and I hit my magical 40MPG on the way home)  Thanks for organising it Debbie

Just to show you how good that weather was. Malvern Hills behind, just out of the frame

Royal Alloy scooter was a first at a rally  Got to love a JPS paintjob

May look innocuous enough,  but this little period porch awning was the cumulation of some 1.5hrs work to put up by Club Treasurer Jayne Scott

One of my favourite 1970s towcars spotted at Malvern showground, complete with Webasto sunroof. Beautiful

Unused original 1970s Aquaroll spotted at the Autojumble at the Malvern classic show

Love the dodgy illustrating

Early 1970s car vacuum, suitable for your caravan (according to the box lid!) also seen at the Malvern classic show. £5 Seemed a fair price
